In-House Powder Coating & Sandblasting in Texas

Large-format powder coating with sandblast prep — handled under one roof so your parts never leave our facility before final finish.

Powder Coating & Sandblasting

From Fabrication to Final Finish — Under One Roof

Most fabrication shops outsource powder coating. AAA Fabrication doesn't. With a 2022 Reliant Finishes powder coating oven measuring 8' high × 8' wide × 25' long, we coat large structural assemblies, weldments, and complex fabricated parts in-house — eliminating the extra handling, transit risk, and lead time that come with a separate finishing subcontractor.

Every powder-coated job starts with sandblast preparation to ensure adhesion — so surface prep and application are controlled together as part of a single quality process, not split between two vendors.

The Finishing Process

01

Sandblast Preparation

Parts are sandblasted to remove mill scale, rust, weld splatter, and surface contaminants — creating the clean, profiled surface that powder coating adhesion depends on.

02

Powder Application

Powder is electrostatically applied to the prepared surface, ensuring even coverage across edges, recesses, and complex geometry before the curing stage.

03

Oven Curing

Parts are loaded into our Reliant Finishes oven and cured at the specified temperature and duration — producing a hard, durable finish bonded to the metal surface.

Common Applications

  • Structural steel assemblies and frames
  • Enclosures and equipment covers
  • Industrial machinery components
  • Brackets, supports, and hardware
  • Architectural metalwork
  • Data center infrastructure components

Why In-House Powder Coating Matters

Sending parts out for coating adds time, handling risk, and a coordination dependency. We removed that bottleneck.

Single Point of Accountability

AAA Fabrication is responsible for your part from raw material through finished coating. No separate finishing vendor, no finger-pointing if something goes wrong.

No Second Lead Time

Parts move from welding to sandblasting to coating without leaving our facility. Your delivery schedule isn't held up by a subcontractor's queue or transit time.

Large-Format Capability

Our 8'H × 8'W × 25'L oven handles structural assemblies and long weldments that most shops have to disassemble or reject entirely.

In-Process Quality Control

Surface prep quality is inspected before coating application — eliminating the risk of coating over inadequately prepared surfaces that would result in adhesion failure.

AS9100D Certified Finishing

Powder coating and sandblasting at AAA Fabrication are performed under our AS9100D and ISO 9001:2015 certified quality management system. Surface preparation and finish quality are verified as part of our standard in-process inspection routine.

All finishing work is performed under our registered quality management system — the same system that governs our welding, forming, and cutting operations.
